Kids for Christ

Children’s Ministry is one of the biggest Ministries at Lakeside. We are ministering to approximately 100 children each Sunday. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, loving environment for kids to come and learn about their savior Jesus Christ. We would love for you to be a part of our team.

Teaching a Sunday school class is a great way to learn as you go. Each class has a head teacher and an assistant teacher. We provide curriculum that is very easy to use. You don’t need to go to Bible College to teach a child about the saving power of Christ.

Children’s Ministry also has a very important administration team. Our admin team helps with scheduling, ordering supplies, updating information, child registration, and the check in process on Sunday mornings.

Do you have a gift God has blessed you with and you would like to use it to serve in Children’s Ministry but you are just not sure how it can be used? Please mention it to Chris or Billie Joe. We have been blessed many times by someone just mentioning what their hobbies or interests are. A great example of this is our Children’s Ministry Photographer. Debbie Dunn mentioned she was taking a photography class and liked to take pictures. To make a long story short we now have our very own photographer at all our special events.

We are blessed each week to be able to serve God in this ministry. Jesus wants the children at Lakeside and around the world to come to him. We know this without a doubt because in Mark 10:14 -15 Jesus says “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. He goes further by saying I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” If you would like to see this “child like faith” he speaks of, we encourage you to stop by one of our classrooms this week.
